Please check if the camera is properly connected this is an internal camera on a chromebook so it should not need connecting.

When i try to use my camera it comes up with the caption your camera is currently unavailable. I have tried power washing resetting settings and also looked at the connection and it seems to be connected. This means that your chromebook should recognize the device without the need of drivers to operate it.

Another app may be using it when that is not at all the case. Whenever i try to use it with a site like cameroid or tumblr taking webcam pictures essentially it isnt even reconized as existing and when i try to use the camera app itself it just says your camera is currently unavailable. I get a message that says your camera is currently unavailable. The camera is built into the chromebook itself i dont. There are no camera related settings in the chromebook settings not sure there were before to be honest it just worked for three years until now.
